Two of the nation's top-line colts had easy trials on Monday morning at Warwick Farm ahead of Group 1 assignments, and there was plenty of eye-catching juveniles having big hit-outs on the turf across the nation.
Broadsiding freshened ahead of All Aged Stakes
Champion 2YO Colt Broadsiding (Too Darn Hot {GB}) was not asked to use himself much in a Warwick Farm trial on Monday morning, allowed to settle midfield and travel comfortably home into fourth in a heat won by stakes performer Felix Majestic (Smart Missile). Godolphin’s star colt is expected to drop back to 1400 metres in the G1 All Aged Stakes on April 19 after his last start win in the 2000-metre G1 Rosehill Guineas. He will be four weeks between runs going into his next up assignment.

“It will do his reputation a world of good if he could get up and beat those horses at weight-for-age,” trainer James Cummings told RSN last week. He compared the colt favourably to his former shuttle sire, saying that he could see a lot of similarities between them.
Coleman steps out ahead of Queensland campaign
Another high class colt that wasn’t asked to exert himself on Monday morning was Coleman (Pierata), he travelled comfortably throughout the 804-metre event at Warwick Farm and still managed to sail home into third, 0.3l behind debutant winner Unnatural Power (Odyssey Moon).

Transferred to the care of Chris Waller following his sixth-placed finish in the G3 Blue Sapphire Stakes, the Group 1-placed 3-year-old is being aimed at the G1 Doomben 10,000 and the G1 Stradbroke Handicap over the Queensland carnival. A 10 per cent share is available in the colt on this week’s Inglis Digital auction, bidding closing on Wednesday.
Blueblood filly zips home
The impeccably bred Lipstick (Street Boss {USA}) flew home in a Warwick Farm trial on Monday morning. The James Cummings-trained 2-year-old filly had a few green moments under the steerage of Rachel King, but still let down impressively over the last furlong to win by 1.19l. She had been third in a juvenile handicap to stakes-winning Tempted (Street Boss {USA}) at her only start.

Lipstick is a daughter of Accoutrements (Exceed And Excel), a half-sister to five stakes winners, including three stallions; Helmet, Bullbars, and Epaulette. Accoutrements has no live foals since Lipstick, and is currently in foal to Anamoe.
Half to Santa Ana Lane a trial winner
The well-related Amalfi Coast (Written Tycoon) won his second lifetime trial at Warwick Farm on Monday morning. The 2-year-old colt, who is trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, hugged the fence into the home straight before striding out to win by 0.56l over debutant Balmain Warrior (Saxon Warrior {Jpn}).

A half-brother to five-time Group 1 winner Santa Ana Lane (Lope De Vega {Ire}), Amalfi Coast is currently the penultimate foal from Fast Fleet (Fastnet Rock), who has a Stay Inside yearling to follow. Amalfi Coast for a $500,000 purchase at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale by China Horse Club, Newgate, Go Bloodstock, and Trilogy from Vinery Stud.
Freedman’s Aerodrome is airborne in trial
Michael Freedman-trained 2-year-old gelding Aerodrome (Ole Kirk) lived up to his name at Warwick Farm on Monday, where he won the third of his lifetime trials. Eventual second placegetter My Bella Vista (Hellbent) set a ferocious pace in the home straight, but Aerodrome ran her down, getting his head down to win by 0.1l, with a 5.15l gap back to the rest of the field.

A $190,000 Inglis Easter graduate from Gilgai Farm when purchased by Nine9Park, Aerodrome is the first foal of G3 SAJC Sires’ Produce Stakes winner She Shao Fly (Epaulette), who has an Ole Kirk yearling and weanling to follow.
Agent Zero flashes home at Kembla
The Ciaron Maher-trained Agent Zero (Snitzel) debuted in a stylish fashion at Kembla Grange's trials on Monday morning to come away victorious. The 2-year-old colt overcame a slight wobble in the home straight to seize victory by 0.1l over Gilette (Exceedance).
Ciaron Maher Bloodstock purchased Agent Zero for $500,000 from Segenhoe Stud at last year's Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, and on Monday, they sold his half-brother by Farnan to John Foote Bloodstock at the Inglis Easter sale for $240,000. He is the first foal from five-time winner Benitoite (Americain {USA}), who ran fourth in the G1 Coolmore Classic.
Insta Worthy keeps the Farnan train rolling
Smart juvenile Insta Worthy (Farnan) demonstrated that he was fast like Farnan on Monday with a speedy trial victory at Beaudesert. The Matthew Dunn-trained colt rolled forward to a 0.5l win on a Heavy 9 track, digging deep at the 200-metre mark to snag victory.
A $120,000 Gold Coast purchase for Matthew Dunn, Neil Jenkinson (FBAA), and Viva Racing from Widden Stud last year, Insta Worthy is the third foal from G3 Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Stakes winner Insta Erma (USA) (Pioneerof The Nile {USA}), who has an Anamoe colt on the ground.
