Looking Ahead puts the spotlight on runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are a particularly well-bred or high-priced runner early in its career chasing maiden success, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse which has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.

Three exciting runners are set to hit the track throughout Australia on Wednesday, including a Deep Field filly that has looked smart at the trials making her debut at Eagle Farm. Also Canterbury Park is the venue for the debut of an expensive I Am Invincible filly and a Hellbent gelding that is out of a group-winning Galileo (Ire) mare.

Looking Back

Jazzclub (NZ) (Ardrossan) was very impressive, he looks to have promising future ahead of him. Alabama Blitz (Alabama Express) settled well back in the same race and made some ground late to finish eighth.

Zaphod (Ire) (Zarak {Fr}) won like a nice horse at Scone, his form in Ireland suggested that he would be much superior to this opposition and so it proved, he could be a progressive stayer next season.
