G3 Northerly S., $150,000, 1400m

What a stirring finish it was to this Ascot feature, Dance Music (War Chant {USA}) and Massimo (Sessions) drawing clear for a memorable fight over the final furlong.

It was the former who put her nose down when it counted, in doing so recording her 12th success from 28 starts; her fourth at stakes level.

A mare who just doesn't know how to run a bad race, Dance Music was bred by Neven Botica's Botsky Pty Ltd with Matthew Sandblom; the friends racing her city winning dam Dance Shoes (Dubawi {Ire}) together.

A NZ$100,000 New Zealand Premier graduate, Dance Shoes has produced Dance Music as her first foal. Not currently in foal she has as her most recent produce a Deep Field 2-year-old colt who was purchased for $100,000 at the Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale by Simon Miller.

One of the 44 stakes winners sired by Yarradale Stud's G1 Breeders' Cup Mile winner War Chant (USA), Dance Music is a granddaughter of the metropolitan winner Deutsche (Quest For Fame {GB}), full-sister to the Listed Debutant S. winner The Rhine (Quest For Fame {GB}).

Bred on a 2 X 5 cross of Danzig (USA), Dance Music also boasts crosses of Roberto (USA) and Mr Prospector (USA).

Listed Crawford S., $125,000, 1000m

Last year's G1 Winterbottom S. winner Elite Street (Street Boss {USA}) was back to his best recording a strong victory at his first run since late May.

Six times in the winner's circle from just 14 starts, the Anita Vale Stud (also breeders of the Group 1 winners Portland Sky and Scenic Shot) homebred looks set for a successful spring/summer campaign.

One of the 55 stakes winners and eight Group 1 winners sired by Darley's dual Group 1 winner Street Boss (USA) (Street Cry {Ire}), Elite Street is the first foal for the dual-city winner Elite Ateates (Exceed And Excel).

Served last spring by Omaha Beach (USA) having produced a Written By colt last November, Elite Ateates is a daughter of the classy mare Ateates (Zeditave), winner of six races; four of those at Group 2 level.

Ateates' dam Paris Miss (Opera Prince) was also talented on the track and at stud, the G3 Light Fingers S. winner producing the G1 Newmarket H. winner Ruffles (Zeditave).
