Scorched Lane, 3-year-old gelding (Too Darn Hot (GB) x Spirits Dance {Statue Of Liberty {USA}})
The promising Too Darn Hot (GB) gelding, Scorched Lane is set to make his third start at Sale on Tuesday.
In his first campaign he ran two very good placings at Echuca and Bendigo, he has prepared for his resuming run with two nice jump outs at Balnarring and Cranbourne, and shapes up as being very hard to beat in this maiden event.

Scorched Lane is the fourth foal out of Spirits Dance (Statue Of Liberty {USA}) who was a talented five-time winner, and was successful in the G2 Angus Armanasco Stakes and the G3 Kevin Hayes Stakes.
She has made a promising start to her broodmare career having left the winners Parmie (Snitzel), Overruled (Redoute’s Choice) and Jagar (Zoustar).
Spirits Dance has since produced a 2-year-old filly named Suze Spritz (Bivouac), a weanling filly by Toronado (Ire), and was most recently served by the exciting young sire Lofty Strike.

Hey Daisy, 3-year-old filly (Written By x Miss Sav {Pierro})
The Paul Shailer-trained Hey Daisy (Written By) will make her debut over 1000 metres at Dalby on Tuesday. She has looked pretty handy at the trials, and won her last one at Beaudesert on March 20 very impressively by 5.3l over 1050 metres.
Hey Daisy is the first foal from the Pierro mare Miss Sav, who was a winner over 1600 metres and she is a three-quarter-sister to the stakes-placed, four-time winner Scorsese (Written By).

Miss Sav is well-related being out of Hollyweird (Snitzel) who was a three-time winner and managed to place in the Listed Heritage Stakes, G3 Thoroughbred Club Stakes and the Listed Chairman’s Stakes.
Since producing Hey Daisy, Miss Sav has been exported to New Zealand and has left a Brutal (NZ) yearling filly, and was most recently served by Armory (Ire) last spring.
Hey Daisy was purchased by Shailer Racing from the 2023 Inglis Digital April Sale for $30,000

Sunday 6/4/25
Southern Money (Capitalist) - won very nicely at Mornington, she deserved that maiden victory after a run of consistent form.
Barbieland (Extreme Choice) - ran a solid third at the Sunshine Coast, it was another nice effort.
Classic Azabeel (Cool Aza Beel {NZ}) - was disappointing, finishing well back at Gundagai.
