Lot 526 - Proisir x Cincoro (NZ) (Savabeel), colt - $90,000
Buyer: Pike Racing
Vendor: Elsdon Park
Tony Pike made a savvy purchase on Day 3 at the New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sales, he picked up Lot 526, a Proisir colt out of Cincoro (NZ) (Savabeel) for NZ$90,000.
He looks to be a promising prospect, with strong bloodlines and early potential. With his dam having a solid connection to Group 1 winning juvenile Sword Of Osman (NZ) (Savabeel) as she is a three-quarter-sister, which assists in making this colt an exciting future prospect.
Pike’s assessment of him as a 'natural type' for the Karaka Millions 2-year-old race is noteworthy—he’s confident that this colt has the potential to perform early on. His pedigree, particularly with Savabeel as the damsire, is certainly appealing.

Speaking to The Thoroughbred Report, Tony Pike spoke of how he thought they snared a bargain and how his page straight away was an obvious target for him.
“We really liked him on type, he looks to have early potential and had good scope and strength, he comes from a very fast family and we shouldn’t have to wait long.”
“I am a big fan of the stallion and his damline is very quick.”

“Savabeel is his damsire and he is the first foal from her, I think he looks a natural type for the Karaka Millions 2-year-old next year and he also should be able to train on to be a lovely 3-year-old."
Pike went on to add, “It has been a bit of a patchy sale, and I thought on type and pedigree, he was extremely good value.
“I actually thought he was nearly half price or less and am obviously very happy to have secured him.
“Shares are available, you can contact me or have a look at the website and we would love some new owners on board. He was very good buying.”
