Bred by Jamieson Park and sold at the 2022 New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sale for NZ$130,000, Grail Seeker recorded an easy two-and-a-half-lengths length victory in the G1 Telegraph H. on New Year’s Day; building on her excellent tally of four wins from just 11 starts.

Lot 85 - Ardrossan x Loveheart (Charm Spirit) (bay colt)
By a young stallion building a very nice record, this colt is out of the well related Loveheart, half-sister to five winners including the G2 Moonee Valley Vase winner Red Aces (Dundeel {NZ}) and the G3 Chairman’s S. winner Declarationofheart (Declaration Of War {USA}).
Loveheart’s two time-winning dam Cardiac (Encosta de Lago) is a half-sister to the G1 VRC Oaks heroine Arapaho Miss (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) whose seven winners include another VRC Oaks winner in Miami Bound (NZ) (Reliable Man {GB}) and the Listed winners De Little Engine (Encosta de Lago) and Kadavar (NZ) (Tarzino {NZ}).
The latter is in flying form, that Chris Waller trained 4-year-old winning his last three including the Listed Christmas Cup at Randwick in mid-December.

Lot 192 - Vadamos x Passion Cut (Pins) (bay filly)
The G3 Wellington S. winner Devastate (NZ) (Vadamos {Fr}) has done a great job already winning five races and he looks set for a big campaign for the Tony Gollan stable having recently won two Doomben trials in impressive fashion.

Lot 262 - Hello Youmzain x Sacred Siren (O’Reilly) (bay filly)
With his progeny selling so well at the recent Magic Millions, the progeny of Cambridge Stud’s Hello Youmzain (Fr) are bound to be in great demand at Karaka and this filly ticks all the boxes.
Bred on the same Hello Youmzain/O’Reilly (NZ) cross as the exciting Remala (NZ), she is the third foal (the first already a winner) for a two-time winner who fetched NZ$350,000 as a Karaka yearling.
Her 2-year-old (NZ) (Super Seth) debuted at Rosehill in mid-January, running third to the exciting Wodeton (Wootton Bassett {GB}) in what looks set to prove a strong form reference.

It is a most exciting start that Wootton Bassett has made to his southern hemisphere career, making buyers keen to secure his progeny at the Magic Millions where they sold up for $1.7 million.
This fellow is a stand-out out of a G1 New Zealand Oaks placegetter whose Group 1-placed dam Calm Smytzer (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}) produced nine winners from ten runners including the dam of the Group 3 galloper Hear The Chant (Nicconi).
Wootton Bassett, who had four juvenile Group 1 winners in the northern hemisphere last year, has sired the big race winner Twain (Ire) out of a Montjeu (Ire) line mare; part of the bigger success story that is the Wootton Bassett/Sadler’s Wells (USA) combination which has produced seven Group 1 winners.

This fellow is the first foal for a talented race mare; Express Fantasy (NZ) (Shamexpress {NZ}) winning three of her eight starts and finishing out of the placings only twice with successes at Doomben, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.
A half-sister to the RL Karaka Mile winner Raghu (NZ) (Showcasing {GB}), she went through this same sale, fetching NZ$360,000 being the lovely type that she is.

A top-quality filly by Wootton Bassett out of dual Group 1 winner, this filly has it all!
This is a family known for its class, giving this filly plenty of residual value. Her dam, winner of the G1 VRC Oaks and the G1 Storm Queen S., has continued on the good work at stud with her six foals to race all being winners.
