Cambridge Stud is an iconic thoroughbred stud farm with world-class facilities located in the central North Island of New Zealand. Each year we prepare over 50 yearlings for the major sales in New Zealand and Australia. We have an opportunity for a young and aspiring person to join the leadership team as Assistant Yearling Manager.
We are looking for a team player who has a positive mindset and is driven to succeed.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
• Experience preparing yearlings for sale and caring for general bloodstock.
• Strong organisational skills and close attention to detail.
• Be a team player and able to work closely with senior management.
• Display leadership and initiative on a day-to-day basis to help assist the yearling manager.
Modern accommodation with amenities such as a staff gym are available onsite. Remuneration will be based on experience.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Yarraman Park Stud located in Scone in the Hunter Valley, a short 10 minute drive to town. An opening exists for a talented individual to step into a leadership role as the Assistant Foaling Manager. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn from highly experienced Managers and Veterinarians.
Be part of the team, as the Assistant Foaling Unit Manager your duties will include but not limited to:
- Answering to Foaling and Broodmare Managers.
- Monitoring pregnant mares and providing foaling assistance when required.
- Administering neonatal care.
- Administering medication and basic vet procedures.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements:
- Driver’s License.
- Experience with mares and foals.
- Experience with foaling.
- Team player.
- Attention to detail.
Accommodation available and remuneration will be based on experience, the successful applicant will also have the chance to work with some of the best horses and people in the industry.
