Coolmore - Mount White Stud Manager
Coolmore Australia is looking to recruit a manager for a new spelling and agistment operation based at Mount White (formerly Strawberry Hill Stud) in the New South Wales Central Coast region.
The successful applicant will be involved in the establishment of the business, with ongoing responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of the operation.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Executing the daily care and supervision of all stock on the farm.
- Recruitment, management and ongoing training of staff.
- Managing any injuries and rehabilitation programs in conjunction with veterinary consultants and owners/trainers.
- Sourcing and maintaining clients for the business.
- Securing and maintaining suppliers.
To be successful, you must have:
- Professional experience in the thoroughbred industry, ideally with knowledge and experience of spelling, rehabilitation and pre-training/training.
- Experience in managing and leading a team of staff.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to interact with trainers and owners regarding appropriate programs for their horses.
- This is a newly created full-time position and will offer a generous remuneration package, including accommodation.

Situated just 15 minutes from Scone in NSW’s Hunter Valley region, Kia Ora is one of Australia’s most successful and progressive thoroughbred operations.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate horse person to join the team in a full-time, seasonal role for yearling preparation.
Skills and attributes required:
- Reliable with a great work ethic.
- Hands-on horse experience, preferably with thoroughbreds.
- An eye for detail and the ability to communicate clearly.
- Must work well as part of a team.
- An up-to-date driver’s licence.
This role is available from the start of October and will finish at the end of the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale (April 8, 2024). There will be an opportunity for this role to progress into ongoing/full-time employment.
