SEGENHOE - SPELLING FARM MANAGER
Segenhoe Stud, a long-established and leading thoroughbred breeding and spelling operation in the Upper Hunter Valley is seeking a highly experienced horse person to join our team in the role of Spelling Farm Manager.
The successful applicant will have previous experience in the day-to-day care and management of racehorses. This role will encompass not only spelling but rehabilitation also.
The candidate will need to have the ability to work alone as well as in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills as the successful candidate will liaise directly with clients and trainers. Computer proficiency is required with the ability to adhere to WHS procedures and guidelines
The remuneration package includes a three bedroom house and work vehicle. The salary for the right candidate will reflect skills and experience.

The highly successful John O’Shea Racing Stable is looking for an experienced full-time Senior member to join their team.
John O’Shea racing is looking to add to its expanding team in Sydney with an excellent opportunity to join the stable in a senior role. John is a consistent top 10 trainer in Sydney and boasts 29 Group 1 winners to his name, running a select, quality stable.
Tasks include:
• Supervise daily stable operations.
• Supervise daily care of horses, including routine health checks, recognising ailments and signs of injury.
• Implement and monitor feed and nutritional program, preparing and distributing feed.
• Supervise raceday preparation and post-race activities.
• Implement compliance in applying safe systems of work and practices, including identifying and reporting risks and incidents.
Desirable:
• Experience in supervising an operational team, with the confidence and willingness to foster and lead a positive, respectful, inclusive and safe workplace culture.
• Well-developed husbandry and horsemanship skills with a sound understanding of training and practices.
• Sound knowledge of horse health care and welfare requirements, including prevention and treatment of injury and disease.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Current Driver's Licence with a preparedness to work out of hours and weekends.
Successful candidates must have a passion for the thoroughbred and racing industry, have the ability to both lead and work in a team environment, possess great attention to detail and take pride in both the work they and their team perform.
Experience in a similar position will be highly regarded.

John Sargent Racing is looking for an Office Manager to handle all general office duties, including accounts receivable/payable and month-end.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office and Ardex as well as having Industry and administration experience would be an advantage.
The successful applicant requires exceptional attention to detail, able to multitask and have a high level of accuracy.
Role includes:
• Data entry and administration tasks
• Assisting with clients' requests (calls and emails)
• Liaise with clients and suppliers
• Support with day-to-day running of the business
• Accounts receivable/payable and end of month accounts
• Compiling reports for the accountant
• Maintaining office and stable supplies
• Updating stable website and social media channels
