Expect him to string the field along at a solid tempo before attempting to run them into the ground late.
Wild Ruler
Dual Group 1 winner Trekking (Street Cry {Ire}) looks forward enough to figure prominently after only being beaten 0.4l by Wild Ruler in a recent trial.

The talented galloper is a proven performer at this distance and presents as the main danger to Unusual Countess.
Ima Roca Bee (NZ)

The Allan Sharrock-trained Yea Boi (NZ) (Belardo {Ire}) is another lightly raced galloper stepping out beyond 1200 metres for the first time.
He draws worse than midfield in barrier six but should be able to cross and land in a positive position.
Expect him to push Treasure State all the way to the line under Hazel Schofer.
Treasure State
Whiskey (NZ) (Burgundy {NZ}) is capable of stringing two wins together after breaking his maiden status at Te Rapa three weeks ago.
The gelding is another galloper who is bred to relish stepping out beyond 1200 metres for the first time. The only concern is that he could get boxed in from barrier one.
Nest Egg (NZ) (Reliable Man {GB}) resumes after failing to break his maiden status in five starts last preparation.
The gelding will appreciate stepping out over longer trips and may find his rivals too sharp first up.
