Moonee Valley, G3 Typhoon Tracy S., $160,000, 1200m
A winner of the Listed Atlantic Jewel S. over this track and distance in the spring, Night Raid (Vancouver) resumes for Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr, looking for another stakes win.
The smart filly, a 7.25l winner when first-up last campaign, albeit in a Tatura maiden, was outclassed when ridden on the pace in the G1 Thousand Guineas last time out and has had a couple of trials ahead of her return.
Her main rival here could be the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained Macroura (Snitzel), who tackled a G1 JJ Atkins S. as a 2-year-old before being given some easier assignments during the spring, culminating in a third in a BM78 at Flemington in December.
Night Raid
Phillip Stokes' Highly Discreet (Street Boss {USA}) also resumes here, having looked competitive in stakes company against the fillies during the spring, including a third in the Listed Crockett S. over The Valley 1200 metres.
Tasmanian filly Entrapped (Fighting Sun) brings the race fitness, having won well at The Valley 1200 metres last Friday.
The Anthony Chibnall-trained Rainbiel (Toronado {Ire}) brings some X-factor, having only had the six starts and having been narrowly beaten by Diamonds Inthe Sky (Snitzel) at Caulfield.
Supreme Idea (I Am Invincible) could be capable of causing an upset, having finished close up over 1000 metres at Sandown last time. She wasn't too far away in some good races early in the spring.
