Race summary
Swoop Dog (Husson {Arg}) has wasted no time adding black type to his record with a dominant display at his fourth race day appearance.
Trained by John Blacker, he doubled his winning tally to two when he came with an irresistible finish in the hands of Troy Baker after settling behind the leading division.
The well-supported First Accused (Turffontein) shot clear at the top of the straight, but had no answer when the winner came calling and One Lotto (Super One) came on from midfield for third.
Pedigree notes
The seventh individual Group winner for Husson (Arg), Swoop Dog is raced by breeder by Armidale Stud after he failed to meet his $40,000 when offered at the Tasmanian Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
He is a son of Swooper (Black Hawk), who numbered the Listed Schweppervescence S. among her 12 victories, and her only other foal to race Power Of Many (Domesday) has been a winner.
The dam is a half-sister to the dual Group 3 winner Slygo Connection (Sumayr {Ire}) with a feature name in the pedigree the G1 English St Leger winner and sire Bollin Eric (GB).

Scott Brunton’s Mandela Effect (Turffontein) turned in another genuine effort for second and his third placing on the bounce with his stablemate Queen La Diva (Snippetson) fighting on for third after racing on the pace.
