Sirius Suspect (Wanted) has come back from a break to excellent form and that continued here with a career-best performance.

The 6-year-old, who had won his previous start at Pakenham, left nothing to chance by jumping to the front and, after quickening the tempo 300 metres out, stayed on strongly under leading rider Jamie Kah to score for trainer Saab Hasan.

Albumin (Foxwedge) finished runner-up again after running second at Rosehill at his prior appearance and second favourite Defiant Dancer (Foxwedge) was in the party all the way and kicked on for third.

Sirius Suspect is the third Group winner sired by Wanted, who has also been represented by the G1 South Australian Derby winner Leicester and the G3 Roma Cup winner Vital Silver.

Bred by Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock principal Darren Dance, Sirius Suspect is a son of the winning Galileo (Ire) mare Sirius Miss, successful in one minor race.

Race summary

Tralee Rose (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) continued her outstanding run of form with an effortless victory, the fourth of her nine-start career.

Trained by Symon Wilde, she loped along in third spot before rider Craig Williams took her to the front at the top of the straight and she streaked clear to win by 7l.

Sin To Win (NZ) (Sir Percy {GB}) raced in midfield and ran on to be second ahead of Saint Eustace (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}).

Tralee Rose was bred by Sir Patrick and Lady Justine Hogan and was sold by Cambridge Stud for NZ$50,000 at the New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale.

She was bought by Wilde and Cameron Cook Bloodstock and is a daughter of Rose of Tralee (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}), who was twice successful and ran third in the Listed New Zealand St Leger.

She is a half-sister to the three-time Group 1 winner Serenade Rose (NZ) (Stravinsky {USA}) and closely related to dual Group 1 winner Trekking (Street Cry {Ire}).

Race summary

Eleven Eleven (Fastnet Rock) continued his good form this preparation with a smart performance to win for the sixth time in his career.

The Greg Hickman-trained sprinter was suited by a genuine tempo set up by Spaceboy (Deep Field) and came from third last in the running for jockey Keegan Latham with a well-timed finish.

Discharged (Snitzel) sat outside the pace and rallied strongly after looking under pressure into the straight and Inanup (Bon Hoffa) boxed on for third after racing on the speed.

Eleven Eleven was sold by breeder Edinburgh Park at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale for $230,000 with Hickman signing the docket.
