Constructing a case
G3 Arrowfield Breeders’ Plate, $160,000, 1000m
Construct (I Am Invincible) finished second in his lead-up trial for rider Tommy Berry and they have an ideal draw to press their claims.
The colt is trained by Peter and Paul Snowden and they will also be represented by trial winner Kalashnikov (Capitalist), who has unfortunately drawn an awkward barrier while Astrologer (Star Turn) looked sharp at the trials and has a low gate.
Maurice’s Medad (Maurice {Jpn}) has the benefit of two trial outings and was successful in the latest of them. Shaquero (Shalaa {Ire}) won at the Gold Coast before heading to Sydney and the colt has the barrier to boost his chances.
