1). Op-Ed: Jeremy Brummitt suggests that there should be a one-day sale in Europe limited to yearlings bred to race over middle distances as 3-years-olds and up.

"It is little wonder that precocious and limited horses are so popular within the business. They require replacing every 12 months, which means business for breeders, agents and trainers all of which must be underwritten by an owner–if the owner is there." - Jeremy Brummitt

2). Video: Just the name Reynaldothewizard (USA) instantly conjures up an image of Meydan. 2). Video: Darley's Street Sense (USA) could be primed for his biggest year yet with the likes of G1 winner McKinzie (USA), Maxfield (USA), and TDN America Rising Star Cazadero (USA). We spoke with Darren Fox about the hot sire.

3). Feature: We sought the advice of industry leaders who successfully made their way through the Great Recession of 2008, and we asked what they learned from it and how they will use their experiences to guide them through the coming years.

"You hope to be in a position to take advantage of any market downturn and purchase quality mares and shares. I watched several very smart people do that. It requires a long-term outlook and especially a level of confidence that not everyone has." - Denali Stud's Craig Bandoroff
