In the build up to the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.
Today, we take a closer look at a filly who is the beneficiary of a South African Group 2 update, a colt whose close relative is now a Group 1 winner and a daughter of Rich Enuff whose half-brother has added a stakes success to the family roll of honour.
Lot 89 – Foxwedge x Champagne Jane (Starcraft {NZ}) – On account of Mill Park Stud
This filly’s dam was a winner and she is a half-sister to Run Fox Run (Foxwedge), who has won the G2 Southern Cross S. in South Africa since the catalogue went to print. Champagne Jane is also a half-sister to Guard Of Honour (Northern Meteor), a stakes winner and Group performer.
Lot 89 – Foxwedge x Champagne Jane (filly)
The pedigree page further features the presence of the G1 Thousand Guineas winner Serious Speed (Royal Academy {USA}) and the G2 Edward Manifold S. winner Majestic Music (Al Maher).
Lot 582 – Choisir x Eloquent Ruby (Turffontein) – On account of Gippsland Bloodstock
This colt is the second foal of Eloquent Ruby and was delivered two major updates as the dam is a half-sister to the G1 Thorndon Mile winner and G1 Waikato Sprint runner-up The Mitigator (Master Of Design).
Lot 582 – Choisir x Eloquent Ruby (colt)
Eloquent Ruby is also a sister to the G2 Edward Manifold S. and G3 Caulfield Classic winner Fontein Ruby and it’s also the family of Fields Of Omagh (Rubiton), whose three Group 1 victories included two editions of the Cox Plate.
Lot 637 – Rich Enuff x La Paris (Falvelon) – On account of Woodside Park Stud
This filly is a half-sister to the talented Hightail (Written Tycoon) and he has lifted this pedigree by adding victory in the Listed Gosford Guineas to his record and finished fourth in a competitive Magic Millions Guineas line-up.

Their dam is an unraced half-sister to the stakes winner and G1 TJ Smith Classic runner-up Ringa Ringa Rosie (Bradbury’s Luck) and the family of the G1 Flight S. winner Dashing Eagle (Danehill {USA}) and the well-performed Group 2 winning sprinter Osborne Bulls (Street Cry {Ire}).
