Pedigree Boosters

In the build up to the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale at the Riverside Stables, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.

Today, we check out a Super One filly whose profile has been boosted by a Group 3 winner in South Africa, a Zoustar colt with an exciting relative who has been a city winner and stakes placed and a Flying Artie youngster who has Group form recently added to his pedigree.

Lot 9 Super One x Bella Elegante (Exceed And Excel) – Offered by Noogee Park

A pedigree lift has come in from afar with family member Jet Start (SAF) (Pathfork {USA}) successful in the G3 Turffontein London News S. off the back of a lead-up victory. The former champion South African sprinter Toccata (NZ) (Maroof {USA}) and G1 Kenilworth Cape Fillies’ Guineas winner is also on the pedigree page.

Polar Bound (SAF) (Western Winter {SAF}) and Long Dollar (SAF) (Rakeen {SAF}) are other South African Group winners in the family and this filly is also related to the G3 SAJC Breeders’ S. winner Excites Zelady (Excites).

Lot 89 Zoustar x Dare To Dance (NZ) (Pins) – Offered by Widden Stud

This family includes the exciting colt Splintex (Snitzel), who has been a Saturday winner since the catalogue went to print and also finished third in the Listed Gosford Guineas while his half-sister Invictus Salute (Exceed And Excel) has also added another win to her record.

Lot 89 - Zoustar x Dare To Dance (NZ) (colt)

This colt is out of a half-sister to the G2 Reisling S. winner Hips Don’t Lie (NZ) (Stravinsky {USA}), who has left the G3 Chairman’s S. winner Ennis Hill (Fastnet Rock) and her sister Lake Geneva was a stakes winner and twice placed at Group 1 level.

Lot 128 Flying Artie x Excellent Lady (Exceed And Excel) – Offered by Aquis

This colt’s pedigree was given a lift by the Group 3 victory last month of Tinkermosa (NZ) (Alamosa {NZ}) in the Belle of the Turf S.

The Aquis youngster is a half-brother to the G3 Quezette S. winner Petits Filous (Street Boss {USA}) and to the six-time winner Dream Master (Dream Ahead {USA}). The headline act in the pedigree is the G1 Mackinnon S. winner La Bella Dama (NZ) (Desert Sun {GB}), who produced the G2 St George S. winner La Rocket (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}).
